AD Design Show 2022,
Mumbai, India
In December 2022, at the third edition of the AD Design Show, Architectural Digest India undertook a very special project to honour the 75th anniversary of independent India, presenting a curation of 75 definitive objects and photographs that pieced together the history of art, design, textiles, and architecture in India post 1947.

I was part of the team at Case Design that conceptualized, desgined, and coordinated the execution of the AD Museum space.

Concept Sketches

I sketched spaces and forms for the museum concept which consisted of a large monolith table that would be delicately isolated from the other booths at the design show.  This table would host the media and curated artefacts.

Noren Curtains
The chosen concept was inspired by japanese noren curtains that allowed for an informal invitation to the space. The soft, sheer panels of cotton fabric created a sanctum in the middle of the otherwise buzzy AD Design Show environment. It allowed visitors to step inside this space, and have a moment of quietness to consider the curation of 75 objects and photographs.

InsideOn the perimeter of the table were a series of photographs surrounding and supporting the original objects placed in the center.
